Job Summary:

As a Technical Project Manager at Hellbender, you will be responsible for planning and executing multiple concurrent projects and for providing the technical guidance needed to transition projects from conception, through design, and into production. You will be the main customer facing contact and directly responsible for the budget, performance, and schedule of assigned projects. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electromechanical systems and experience leading technical teams through complex engineering projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish trust and build effective relationships with customers, executives, engineering and production teams, and a variety of cross-functional stakeholders
  • Manage and ensure successful, on-time, on-budget delivery of engineering solutions for multiple concurrent projects
  • Organize project teams by assigning responsibilities, developing schedules, and determining resource requirements
  • Identify risks to the contracted scope and develop mitigation plans
  • Interface with all departments including design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, and testing to ensure project alignment
  • Support business development and new work proposals, and generate additional scopes of work for current projects as required

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Materials Science, Robotics, or equivalent education
  • Experience leading technology based products through the various developmental phases including requirements definition, design, testing, field trials, and production
  • Experience balancing resources across multiple projects, as well as tracking scope, schedule, and budget
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, software configuration tools, and project management systems
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams of varying skills and experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with software, firmware, mechanical, and/ or electrical engineering teams as a developer preferred
  • 2 - 5 + years Product Management experience
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment, working on complex software and hardware projects with multiple stakeholders is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience transitioning projects into production is highly preferred

Compensation:

This will be a salaried, exempt position. Compensation to be discussed relative to experience and abilities. This position will be open to the company yearly bonus and retirement savings programs.
