POSITION SUMMARY: 

Work within product engineering and manufacturing to continually improve product reliability; troubleshoot, diagnose and repair circuit boards and electro-mechanical assemblies, while providing circuit design and construction enhancements; support manufacturing activities with troubleshooting and diagnostic expertise; assist with new and existing product reliability including circuit analysis, schematic design, layout, building prototypes, and testing of circuits, circuit boards and assemblies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Perform electrical engineering tasks in direct support of new product development, product feature and reliability enhancements, and ongoing production
• Participate in the design of new or modified electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies, build and test prototypes
• Support manufacturing activities with high level expertise as needed

 CAPABILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:

• To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government  
• Strong familiarity with Linux and tools
• Strong electrical analysis, testing, and troubleshooting skills
• Digital and microcontroller-based logic
• Basic analog and data acquisition circuitry
• Communications and networking
• Battery related circuits
• Power supplies and power conversion
• Electro-mechanical assemblies
• Experience with EMC testing and mitigation techniques
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to work both independently and within team environments
• Fluent in various CAD and electronic documentation systems
• Experienced with working with outside vendors and design/fabrication contractors
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an equivalent capacity

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
